Food and Outreach Fun

Since I am an Italian-American, I regard food as very important. My fellow life defenders agree this is a nice perk after public square outreach. Except for Life Chain, each of PLW’s outreach events ends with a meal together for a time of laughter and fellowship.
Most of us wear our red Life Saver T-shirts. These attract attention and conversation in restaurants. On several occasions, I have been asked, “Could I have one?” The answer is “Yes."
For overpass outreach, we head to Jason's Deli after returning signs to the billboard truck.
It’s a Baby Waco happens in the public right of way of Planned Parenthood from 8 to 10 AM. At 9 AM, we break for fresh breakfast tacos and tasty desserts.
Our pharmacy outreach has brought us to several CVS and Walgreens stores. The restaurants have been McAlister's Deli, Panera Bread, and Golden Corral.
We have two to three out-of-town excursions, usually to protest a Planned Parenthood fundraiser in Dallas, Austin, or Fort Worth. Denny's has worked well on the way back.
